FAA Proposes Inspections Of 453 Boeing 737 MAX Jets Over Improperly Installed Seats
The FAA wants airlines to check seat track fittings on 453 U.S.-registered 737 MAX jets after getting reports of incorrect installations that could let seats break loose in turbulence or a hard landing. Boeing says it flagged the problem to airlines back in December 2025 and backs making the fix mandatory now.
