Founder
Nicolas Chaillan founded Unbiased Headlines. He immigrated to the United States from France, the son of a journalist who believed that real reporting — not spin, not an agenda — was worth defending. That belief is the reason this site exists.
He served as the first Chief Software Officer of the U.S. Air Force and Space Force (2018–2021), leading the Department of Defense's software modernization efforts. He has founded 13 companies, brought over 180 products to market with Fortune 500 clients, and most recently built and sold Ask Sage, an AI platform for the federal government. He's also the author of REPLACEMENT, a #1 Amazon bestseller.
He's married with three daughters. He built Unbiased Headlines because he doesn't want them growing up in a country this divided. News shouldn't be a weapon two sides use on each other — it should be something a family can read and still sit down at the dinner table together afterward. That means showing every side, checking every fact, and publishing an honest bias score instead of pretending there isn't one.
This isn't a newsroom pretending to have no point of view. It's a newsroom that shows its work — built by someone trying to leave his kids a country a little less divided than the one he found.
