Walking out of an interview mid-question doesn't read as strength. It hands your opponents a clean narrative. Trump has been making election fraud claims for six years. If the evidence is as overwhelming as he says, the stronger move is to lay it out — not walk away.

Calling Welker "darling" on national television? It's a gift to every outlet looking for a gender-condescension angle.

Fair journalism would hold BOTH things: yes, Trump's specific claim about FBI agents "ushering" rioters into the Capitol lacks documented evidence. AND yes, the FBI's conduct in the Trump-Russia investigation was formally criticized by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz in his December 2019 report.

Welker didn't go there.
