Acting AG Blanche Claims 'Ton of Evidence' 2020 Election Was Rigged — But Can't Say If It Was Actually Stolen

Acting AG Blanche Claims 'Ton of Evidence' 2020 Election Was Rigged — But Can't Say If It Was Actually Stolen
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche went on Fox News Sunday and declared there's a 'ton of evidence' the 2020 election was rigged, while simultaneously admitting he can't provide a 'definitive answer' that it was. Active federal investigations are running in Arizona, Georgia, and Florida — six years after the election. That contradiction deserves scrutiny from everyone, not just the left.

What Blanche Actually Said

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche appeared on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures on May 17, 2026, hosted by Maria Bartiromo. He made two statements that directly contradict each other.

Statement one: "There's a ton of evidence that the election was rigged."

Statement two, minutes later: "I'm not going to promise there's going to be a definitive answer. That wouldn't be fair to you or anybody else."

The acting Attorney General of the United States claims mountains of evidence exist, then admits he can't confirm the underlying allegation is even true.

The Investigations Are Real — The Evidence Isn't Public

Blanche confirmed active federal investigations in Arizona, Georgia (specifically Fulton County), and through the Southern District of Florida, according to his statements reported by Breitbart, The Daily Signal, RedState, and The Independent. He said the Florida probe alone involves hundreds of subpoenas and hundreds of witnesses.

The FBI has seized election records in Arizona. Federal agents raided a Georgia elections office based on a referral from Kurt Olsen — a lawyer who worked with Trump's 2020 campaign to challenge election results, according to The Independent.

These are real investigative actions. The left-leaning Salon dismissed all of this as "repeatedly debunked" in the first paragraph without engaging with a single specific allegation Blanche raised.

What's Missing From the Right-Side Coverage

Breitbart and RedState treated Blanche's statements as major confirmations.

Blanche did NOT present any new evidence publicly. He did NOT name a single person who committed fraud. He did NOT give a timeline. He said investigators are working hard because the alleged bad actors are "very good at hiding what they're doing." Six years have passed with nothing concrete to show.

The Steele Dossier was discredited. The Russia collusion investigation yielded no charges. Those are documented facts. But claiming "a ton of evidence" of 2020 election rigging while simultaneously hedging on whether a definitive answer will ever be produced creates a different impression.

The Russia Hoax Investigation — More Promises, No Charges

Blanche also addressed the ongoing probe into what he called the Russia hoax targeting Trump since 2016. He confirmed "incredibly troubling things" have been found. He confirmed the Southern District of Florida has an open criminal investigation. He confirmed grand jury activity — subpoenas, witnesses, documents.

But when Bartiromo pressed him on when indictments would come, according to The Daily Signal, he said: "We are not gonna rush something that isn't ready."

Bartiromo pushed back: "What is not ready?"

Blanche didn't give a straight answer.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard released documents in July 2025 detailing what she described as a "years-long coup" against Trump and sent a criminal referral to the DOJ, according to The Daily Signal. That referral has been sitting there. Still no charges.

If the evidence is as significant as Blanche claims, the American people have a right to ask why nobody has been charged.

The Mainstream Media Problem — Both Directions

Salon called the 2020 rigging claims "repeatedly debunked" as established fact in its opening line. That framing skips over the actual question: what specifically is being investigated, and what has been found? Dismissing federal law enforcement activity as conspiracy theory without engaging the specifics misses the substantive issues.

But Breitbart and RedState did the opposite — running headlines like "ABOUT TO COME OUT" based on zero new public evidence.

The Independent noted the internal contradiction in Blanche's own statements — he claimed a "ton of evidence" then admitted he can't guarantee a "definitive answer."

What This Means for Regular Americans

The DOJ is conducting active, resource-intensive federal investigations into the 2020 election — six years after it happened. Whether those investigations produce real evidence of fraud or dissolve into nothing, taxpayers are funding them.

Blanche says charges, a report, or investigative results are coming. He won't say when. He won't confirm the core allegation is provable.

If there's a "ton of evidence," the public should see it. If there's not, that should be stated plainly.
