Anthropic Set to Brief Investors on Q3 Numbers Today, With One Report Putting Revenue at $16.8 Billion

Since Bloomberg reported on Oct. 1 that Anthropic was weighing a mid-November listing, the open question has been what the company's books actually look like. Today, Oct. 14, investors are supposed to get a first look.
Anthropic is scheduled to walk a group of institutional investors through its third-quarter results at a closed-door meeting at its San Francisco headquarters, according to two people familiar with the plans. Bloomberg first reported the meeting. Anthropic declined to comment.
The session is meant to give investors a clearer picture of growth and profitability as they weigh a valuation. It also lets Anthropic's executives and bankers gauge how investors react to the figures.
The number in circulation
Crypto Briefing reported that Anthropic's third-quarter revenue rose 46% to $16.8 billion. The outlet also cited the recent release of Claude Haiku 5.5. Anthropic has not publicly confirmed the figure or said whether the 46% is measured against the second quarter or a year earlier.
People familiar with the company's plans have said revenue could top $100 billion by the end of this year.
The TradingKey analysis says the $100 billion figure more likely refers to an annualized run rate extrapolated from a recent month or quarter, not full-year 2026 revenue. It also says annualized revenue as of July may have been about $65 billion.
What the investors will push on
TradingKey's analysis argues that investors should look past top-line growth to gross margins, operating losses, infrastructure spending and customer concentration. It points to high capital burn and differing accounting standards across AI companies.
The revenue-recognition question is live because of what happened to OpenAI last week. OpenAI told existing investors its annualized revenue was approaching $50 billion at the end of September. A figure of $70 billion had been widely reported.
The lower number excluded revenue tied to cloud partners. A person familiar with the matter said the gap did not reflect weakening demand. Confusion over the restatement dragged down major semiconductor stocks and the Nasdaq.
It is unclear whether Anthropic will count partner-related revenue the same way. That is the specific point investors are expected to watch.
The IPO calendar
Anthropic filed confidentially with the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year. It has not made its S-1 public, so the audited detail that would settle these questions is not yet available.
Reuters has reported a November listing. Bloomberg reported on Oct. 1 that marketing could start the week of Nov. 9, with trading beginning before Thanksgiving on Nov. 26. Benzinga has reported the timeline follows an earlier delay, and people familiar with the plans say discussions are ongoing and timing could change. They could not confirm a date.
Prospective investors reportedly see a valuation of $1.8 trillion to $2 trillion. Reported underwriters are Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, with Nasdaq the reported venue. Coverage citing the Wall Street Journal and Reuters says the raise could reach as much as $100 billion, though that is a ceiling under discussion and not a priced deal.
The benchmark is SpaceX. It listed on Nasdaq on June 12, 2026, pricing 555.6 million shares at $135 to raise about $75 billion at a valuation near $1.75 trillion. Shares rose about 19% on the first day, lifting its market value to roughly $2.1 trillion.
A harder backdrop
The meeting lands as rising interest rates are shaking parts of the AI trade. Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said at a conference on Monday that, with rates climbing, access to capital could be the biggest constraint on AI companies.
Chip stocks were lower on Tuesday, Oct. 13, extending an overnight sell-off tied to worries over the durability of AI financing. Bankers are watching investor appetite for growth and AI stocks closely, and market conditions are among the biggest factors in the timing.
A thin prediction market cited by Crypto Briefing priced a 29% chance that Anthropic's post-IPO market cap lands between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion. That is a small-sample signal, not a forecast from underwriters.
What comes next
The next hard data point is whether Anthropic publishes its S-1, which would put audited revenue, margins and losses on the record. If marketing is to begin the week of Nov. 9, that filing would need to appear in the coming weeks. Until then, the $16.8 billion figure and the $100 billion run-rate remain unverified by the company itself.
