Four men arrested in Keion White shooting; prosecutors say Gregory Walker fired the shot

San Francisco police and prosecutors announced Wednesday, Oct. 14, that four men have been arrested in the Feb. 9 shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White. Two have been charged in San Francisco. The other two are still in custody elsewhere, waiting to be brought to the city.
The case grew into a multistate investigation that police named "Operation D-Line." Police Chief Derrick Lew said it involved more than 50 search warrants and over 250 law enforcement personnel nationwide.
What happened at the Dahlia Lounge
White, 27, was hosting a private Super Bowl party at the Dahlia Lounge in San Francisco's Mission District, in the 1700 block of Mission Street. Just after 4 a.m. on Feb. 9, gunfire broke out. He was hit in the ankle and taken to a hospital for surgery. His injuries were not life-threatening.
According to a police report, the shooting followed an argument between White and rapper Lil Baby, whose given name is Dominique Jones, and the rapper's entourage. They had tried to enter White's event. Lil Baby had performed earlier that night at The Grand nightclub before going to the Dahlia, where White's party was downstairs.
The district attorney's office said people "fired their guns" in the downstairs VIP area. It was unclear whether White was targeted. No charges against Lil Baby have been announced.
Lew said multiple suspects with firearms "confronted" White. Investigators identified the men using video footage and witness accounts.
Who is charged
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said Gregory Walker, 36, of Mountain House fired the weapon that wounded White. Los Angeles police arrested him Oct. 9. He is charged with assault with a firearm, causing great bodily injury, and three felon-in-possession counts: possessing a firearm, possessing a concealed firearm and possessing a loaded firearm. Jenkins said prosecutors will seek no bail, citing the public-safety risk they say he poses.
Curtis Green, 35, of Irvine was arrested Oct. 7. He faces misdemeanor charges of brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed, loaded gun in public.
Both men were booked into San Francisco County Jail on Monday and were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon. The San Francisco public defender's office did not immediately say whether it represents them. These are charges, not convictions.
The other two arrests
Marquis Davis, 38, was arrested in Atlanta on Oct. 7 on a no-bail California warrant. Atlanta police said searches tied to him turned up an illegal firearm, 3,842 grams of fentanyl, 1,026 grams of methamphetamine, 979 grams of cocaine, 820 grams of MDMA and 59 pounds of marijuana.
In Georgia, Davis faces multiple counts of drug trafficking, multiple gang-related offenses and possession of a firearm during a felony. He was booked into the Fulton County Jail. San Francisco charges against him have not been announced.
Antoine Washington, 36, was arrested the same day in Stockton with help from the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office. Police said they recovered a loaded gun, more than 120 oxycodone pills and about $7,000 in cash. San Francisco charges against him have not been announced either.
Jenkins said both men will be charged once they are brought to San Francisco.
The drugs and guns were found in searches of the men's homes and locations connected to them. Authorities have not tied the narcotics to the shooting itself. ABC7 put the total seized at roughly 15 pounds of narcotics, per the San Francisco Police Department.
The response
"This kind of violence is unacceptable in San Francisco, and we devoted significant resources to holding the perpetrators of this incident accountable," Lew said in a statement.
White posted on Instagram the day after the shooting: "For those who know me, y'all know this won't stope [sic] me from spreading peace and joy to the world. Full steam ahead. I'm in great spirits and ready to make the most of this off-season."
White, a 2023 second-round pick of the New England Patriots, was traded to the 49ers. He has played in all five of the team's games this season.
What comes next
Walker's no-bail request will be the first test. Prosecutors cite the public-safety risk they say he poses, and a judge has to decide whether to hold him.
Davis and Washington remain in custody outside San Francisco. Their transfer to the city will set off the next round of charging decisions. Davis also faces separate Georgia drug, gang and firearm counts that will run alongside whatever California prosecutors file.
